1. CREEED is implementing a contract with JGH Group, Denmark, within a UNIDO FB/KYR/10/001 project on Supply of Reliable Energy to Rural First Aid Stations in the KR: – preliminary survey of 12 First Aid Stations in the Kyrgyz Republic for installation of 3 kW Solar PVs; – construction of foundations for Solar PVs; – transporting equipment to sites, – installing equipment, training of local staff on operation and maintenance of Solar PVs. 
By 11 March 2013, CREEED has finished survey of all 12 FAS sites, constructed foundation on all FAS sites, installed and handed over 7 Solar PV systems to FAS teams. Survey has shown that all FAS have standard equipment set, with which they were equipped earlier by a World Health organization project. The standard set of equipment consists of: fridge, dry heat cabinet/sterilization, floor lamp and lightning bulbs in quantity according to number of rooms, with some FAS also using heaters and other additional equipment. 
Average installed capacity of equipment is around 1,5 kW with maximum reaching over 4 kW (Kashkaldak Village, Nookat District, Osh). However, on most energy-intensive sites there are plans to install additional micro HPP with installed capacity ranging from 3kW and higher, which will cover for the excess load. After studying the PVs equipment technical documentation/manuals, CREEED engineering team has developed an optimal installation scheme, according to which the essential equipment of FAS will be powered by electricity produced by PVs. On average, PVs can easily cover the required load. As the chosen inverters have an option to operate alternatively from PV or utility, CREEED considers it optimal to use the PVs in DC mode to get electricity from PVs and in cases when PVs are unable to supply necessary power, equipment will automatically be switched to use utility energy. 
This will allow for a stable electricity supply to essential FAS equipment, visible monetary effect through diminished utility bills and promotion of renewable energy solutions in remote rural areas of the KR.
