Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Development (CREEED) announces a contest for free participation in training courses for consultants in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.
As candidates for participation CREEED invites enthusiasts with technical education or experience living in the regions of Kyrgyzstan, who wish to become consultants and implement energy efficiency measures, solar and thermal energy solutions, biogas technology, mini-hydro and wind plants in the KR.
Winners of the competition will attend a series of courses of theoretical and practical training to build expertise and work effectively to address the energy needs of the population of the Kyrgyz Republic with the introduction of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency measures in the field.
The first introductory course will be held in October – November 2012 in the regional centers of the Republic and will provide participants with information about different types of renewable energy, as well as the opportunity to interview for the second round of training.
The second course will be held in Bishkek in November – February 2012 separately for each of the areas of renewable energy and will provide participants with a detailed theoretical and practical information on the opportunities and benefits from the introduction of RES and energy saving measures in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Participants who successfully complete the second year of training will be invited to cooperate further with CREEED within the framework of practical projects on the development and implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The courses are held in the framework of CREEED Project “Building the capacity of local consultants for renewable energy and energy efficiency” implemented with the financial support of the EBRD BAS (http://www.ebrd.com/sbs/kyrgyzrepublic), the UNDP Project “Development of small hydro» (http://www.greenenergy.kg) and the UNDP project “Enhancing energy efficiency in buildings.” The project objective is to develop a sustainable infrastructure for local consulting services for the implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency in rural areas of the Kyrgyz Republic.
